Software Release 09/04/2024 [follow up release 17/04/2024]

Bookeasy deployed the below changes into the live production system overnight. Should you require further information in regards to any of the below features, please reach out to our friendly Bookeasy Support team who will be more than happy to help.


New Functionality:


MFA - Multi Factor Authentication


Bookeasy has released Stage 1 of MFA enhancements.
The requirements now apply to all users of Bookeasy.


Existing Users:

  • Any existing staff member without a user role assigned will not be able to login to Bookeasy.
  • If a password is changed, it will need to be a minimum of 12 characteers, with upper & lowercase letters, numbers and special characters.  


New Users:


  • Passwords for new users will need to be a minimum of 12 characteers, with upper & lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. 
  • An email address is mandatory.  The email address does not have to be unique to the user.


All Users:

  • Users now have a new Account Management screen which allows them to change their own password, email address etc. Access is via the top right hand corner of the Bookeasy screen, by clicking on their name.
  • Note:  Usernames can no longer be changed, including by Bookeasy Support.



Upgraded Functionality:


STP Secure Travel Payments - Version 2 Payment API & 3DS Security


This only applies to clients who use STP Secure Travel Payments gateway.


3DS Security has now been introduced to all clients using STP, as advised by newsletters recently.  The enhanced measures will help protect against credit card fraud and chargebacks.


3DS is an authenticaton method that asks your customers to verify their identity with their card issuer [their bank] before finalising the payment.


When paying online, the customer will be sent a verification code to the cardholder's registered email address or phone number.


To ensure the highest level of security, we have enabled 3DS for all transactions made online via your gateway.  Please contact Bookeasy Support if you wish to change the level of security.

Bulk Approval for Refund Queue


This only applies to clients who have the Bulk Refunds Add On activated to your Bookeasy console.  Please contact Bookeasy Support to discuss this feature.


Users with the required access level will now be able to process multiple refunds located in the Refund Queue.  ie users are no longer required to process each refund individually.

Property Calendar - Open Availability Comments Mandatory


This only applies to clients who have the Property Calendar Add On activated to your Bookeasy console. This addon is only available to Parks  clients.


When a user closes or opens availability via the Property Calendar, they must now add a mandatory reason.

In addition, a new page to display the history of open and close reasons has been added to the console.

Bug Fixes:


Operators who have opted out of the Bookeasy Network are not searchable via a Booking Centre [20471]

Resolved an issue where booking centres were able to link operators who did not opt in to the Bookeasy Network.


Cost Adjustments apply in Trip Planner [20642]

If a booking centres uses our Trip Planner functionality, any cost adjustments via booking questions are now displaying as expected.


VC Exclusive Content Showing Error if you are not the Mothership [20700]

Resolved an issue where Exclusive Content is showing an error when changes are made to an operator that you are not the mothership of.


Logging out of Agent Console Redirection [20741]

Resolved an issue where if an agent logged out of the console, the logout did not occur correctly.
