Improvements & Bug Fixes:


New Custom SMS Guest Messaging [1008]

Bookeasy has introduced new custom SMS guest messaging functionality to the Bookeasy, Room and Tour Manager consoles.


In summary:

  • Custom SMS messages can be sent via your console's Reservation Search screen.

  • Each custom SMS message sent will include an email "backup" sent to the selected guest.

  • In order to send custom SMS messages, the following prerequisites apply:
    • You will need to create your own SMS Global account. This account is where you can obtain your API Keys so that you can set up your console for custom SMS messaging. This is also the account that will be charged for each custom SMS send.

    • Your own SMTP email server is required to be used for the sending of the backup email. As Bookeasy cannot control the contents of your custom message, this step is required in order to safeguard our email servers for the sending of system and booking notification emails.

  • Your console now includes a new top level left menu item called "Messaging". Sub menus include:
    • Send Message
      Messages can be sent via your console's Reservations Search screen. Once you have conducted your reservation search, select one, all or multiple bookings using the new checkboxes that now appear beside each booking. Once selected, a new "Message Selected" button will appear, allowing you to proceed, draft and send your custom SMS message.

    • Message History
      This will display all previously sent messages, and where you can view a list of each message's recipients.

    • Email / SMS Setup
      This is where you can enter and verify your SMTP email server settings and your SMS Global API keys.

Rejection Reason Enhancements for Redeemed and Expired Passcreator Passes [#15617]

For promotions configured to use Passcreator passes, centre staff using the Bookeasy Staff Console and guests making online bookings will now receive more defined rejection reasons if they enter a promo code that has been previously redeemed, or has expired.


For example, if the Passcreator pass is:

void = true
redeemed = true
expiration date = a past date/time

...then the rejection reason will be displayed as follows:

  • Bookeasy Staff Console
    "{{promoCode}}: Passcreator promo code has already been redeemed and has also expired"

  • Gadgets
    "{{promoCode}}: Promo code has already been redeemed and has also expired"

Or if the Passcreator pass is:

void = true
redeemed = true
expiration date = a future date/time

...then the rejection reason will be displayed as follows:

  • Bookeasy Staff Console
    "{{promoCode}}: Passcreator promo code has already been redeemed"

  • Gadgets
    "{{promoCode}}: Promo code has already been redeemed"

Or if the Passcreator pass is:

void = true
redeemed = false
expiration date = a past date/time

...then the rejection reason will be displayed as follows:

  • Bookeasy Staff Console
    "{{promoCode}}: Passcreator promo code has expired"

  • Gadgets
    "{{promoCode}}: Promo code has expired"

Removed Passcreator Reference when Promo Code is Rejected via the Gadgets [#15761]

For promotions configured to use Passcreator passes, we've removed the reference to "Passcreator" from the gadgets (since its reference means nothing to guests). The reference to Passcreator is still maintained in Bookeasy via the Bookeasy Staff Console in order to provide transparency of the promo code source provider.


Gadgets Promo Code Field Enhancements for Mobile Experience [#15763]

Attributes have been applied to the Promo Code field on our online gadgets, in order to prevent mobile browsers from attempting to auto correct, auto complete and/or auto capitalise text entered by guests. An example of supported browsers can be viewed here.


Max Pax for Online Package Bookings [#15747]

For packages that use custom rates, guests will no longer be able to book beyond the maximum PAX quantity set for any single product linked to the package. If this occurs, the gadgets will display a message to the guest advising "The total people selected is greater than the package setup allows".


Random Discount Voucher Payment Reversals [#15798]

Fixed an edge case bug that could cause Discount Voucher payments to auto-reverse when bookings were made that had more than half the allowable promo code limit applied to the itinerary.


Abandoned Bookings with Rezdy Product [#15790]

Resolved an issue that could cause a booking to appear in a Rezdy operator's supplier console, even if the booking failed to process in the gadgets and was abandoned by the guest (i.e. for failed payment, etc).


Room Deallocations for Edited Room Manager Operator Bookings [#15718]

Fixed a bug that could deallocate the room from a Room Manager operator's existing booking, if the booking source was updated by a Bookeasy destination partner, and if the booking was edited by the destination partner via the Bookeasy Staff Console.


Additional Macron Support [#15757]

Additional macron support has been introduced into the Bookeasy Tours consoles, inclusive of a tour's descriptive name, tour description, please bring info, notes/special needs, pickup point and cancellation policy override.
