Development Release 31/10/2018

Bookeasy successfully released the below changes into the live production system overnight.  Should you require any further information in regards to any of the below features, please reach out to our friendly Bookeasy Support team who will be more than happy to help.

Improvements

OPERATOR RETURN RECONCILIATIONS
Client (guest) names now display on the "View & Record" tab that allows you to preview what bookings are to be included in your operator return.  This has been introduced in order to make reconciling operator invoices easier, for those destination partners who receive operator invoices with guest names as reference.

RETAIL SALES BREAKDOWN REPORT
Introduced on-screen help text to better explain how products that are linked to multiple product categories are represented when the report is grouped by product category.  Also added support to the product category column when grouping the report by product only, so that if a product is linked to multiple product categories, all the categories are displayed as comma separated text.  The report will also now default to grouping by product on initial page load.

PARTNER CONNECTED TOUR PRODUCTS

Improvements have been made to the partner connection background services so that if a LIVN / Rezdy partner connected tour operator's product is disconnected from the partner's API, the tour product is archived in Bookeasy so that it no longer displays as a non-bookable product.  This background process runs once a week for each partner connected operator, and can now also be manually actioned by Bookeasy Support for a specific operator if required.

BEGADGET COOKIES
Enhancements have been made to the beGadgets so if a user happens to use the beGadgets and then leave their web browser open for multiple days, browser cookies will not accumulate.  This issue was affecting Bookeasy destination partners who would repeatedly use the beGadgets and never close their browser window, whereby browser cookies would build up.  In some instances, the website would reject further calls if the server hosting the gadgets had a cookie limit.  As a result of these changes, these browser cookies will now expire after 24 hours.  So you could say, that's the way the cookie crumbles!

ROOM / TOUR MANAGER BOOKING PAGE LOAD TIMES
Additional optimisations have been made in order to help speed up booking page loading times for Room and Tour Manager consoles.

BOOKEASY CHANNEL MANAGER SERVICE

Bookeasy's channel manager service is an internal service that assists the Bookeasy Support Staff in identifying connectivity issues between Bookeasy accommodation operators and their channel managers.  Bookeasy had already linked channel managers such as Resonline, Siteminder and RMS to this service, and with this release we have added support in order to connect channel managers such as UseRoss, BookandLink, Newbook, V3 and Allotz.

BOOKEASY SJP getOperatorModDates
Improvements have been made to Bookeasy's getOperatorModDates SJP call on order to provide more accurate indications of when an operator's details have been modified.

Bug Fixes

Booking Question Cost Adjustments

Resolved an issue that was incorrectly calculating cost adjustments for booking questions that were set to provide a per night, per guest cost adjustment.  These cost adjustments will now correctly calculate the price when the question's answer triggers a cost adjustment.

Retail Sales Breakdown Report

Fixed a bug where products were not being grouped by product category when the report was run with the "Grouped By" filter set to Product Category.  Now when you group the report by Product Category, products will be nested under their respective categories.

Exporting Bookeasy Reservations
Fixed a bug that was preventing a small number of reservations from being exported to CSV via Bookeasy's Reservations screen.  In some cases the export would fail due to an incorrect database query that has now been resolved.

Happy Halloween!
