Development Release 19/09/2018

Bookeasy successfully released the below changes into the live production system overnight.  Should you require any further information in regards to any of the below features, please reach out to our friendly Bookeasy Support team who will be more than happy to help.

What's New?!

WEBSITE BOOKING GADGETS UPGRADE TO NEW WEB API

Enhancements have been made to Bookeasy's beGadgets so they now use Bookeasy's new WebAPI

The WebAPI uses better caching techniques, and has the CloudFront cache from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in front of it.  This means that the region search on the beGadgets will be faster for a traveller that is toggling between searching their number of nights and dates, as the search will no longer need to come to Bookeasy's SJP in order to find that it's cached.  Now the cache can be held at CloudFront or at the traveler's browser.

As a first step in this transition, 50% of the API calls that the beGadgets utilise now use the new WebAPI.  The remaining API calls are to be transitioned in coming production releases.

YESBOOKIT PARTNER CONNECTION
Bookeasy has been certified ready for production by YesBookit, so we've amended our API endpoints to make things production ready!  Bookeasy will now continue the process of working with YesBookit in order to connect pilot property managers for some of our key Destination Partners, with a full rollout on its way.

PARTNER CONNECTION STATUS REPORT
For the purposes of providing the best support possible to our Destination Partners, Bookeasy has created an internal status report so that Bookeasy can better monitor and troubleshoot issues related to partner connected product via Rezdy, LIVN and YesBookit.

Improvements

DISPLAYING RETAIL POINT OF SALE (POS) DISCOUNTS ON ITINERARIES

Improvements have been made in order to ensure that both sale and sale item discounts display correctly on all itineraries when a retail sale is added to an itinerary.

RECORDING PAYMENTS & PAYMENT SPLITS FOR DISCOUNTED RETAIL ITEMS ADDED TO AN ITINERARY

Improvements have been made to ensure that Retail POS items added to an existing itinerary are presented when making payments.  Payment splits will now include all items in the retail sale within the payment split's description, and will account for any sale or sale item discounts made.

RESERVATION SEARCH PAYMENT STATUS

In addition to the Development Patch Release conducted on the 12/09/2018, Bookeasy has modified the trigger name for  payment splits so that the trigger responsible for updating the "paid" status will continue to run.

Bug Fixes

Room and Tour Manager PayPal Gateway Payments

Fixed a bug that would cause PayPal gateway payments recorded in Room and Tour Manager to error.

Cancelled Bookings on Operator Returns
Fixed a bug that caused cancelled bookings that had payment allocated to them to appear in operator returns for a payout to the operator.  As a result, if a cancelled booking has payment allocated to it, but has not had a prior return run on it, it will not be included on the operator return.
